Successful People Management
Unsuccessful people management can lead to demotivated employees, high attrition rates, and costly employment tribunal claims. However, successful people management enables high levels of engagement, performance, retention and can provide a competitive advantage!
In this session, you can learn the key elements of managing your people risk and developing high-performing and engaged employees. We will cover:
- Employment law essentials
- People management competence
- Culture and behaviour in the workplace
- Employee Engagement
- The Conversational Framework
This event is delivered as an in-house event by Tracey Latteman of THL Coaching and HR consultant Karen Ferris of Professionals in Partnership. To book this workshop and come away with the tools to handle the challenges that come from managing people contact me today.
What Attendees Say
The Conversational Framework
In this workshop, I will work with you or your teams to explore the conversations you are having and whether they are fit for purpose. We will examine the elements of trust and how to build and maintain this and look at how to give effective feedback within appraisal or development conversations.
We will also explore how individuals take in information and how you can adapt your style to get the best out of your teams and set achievable goals.
Lastly, we’ll work through how to have the very difficult conversations that we sometimes have to have with our people to ensure that while the message is heard, we do this with empathy and maintain the individual’s dignity.

Leadership
I also run bespoke leadership workshops for current or aspiring leaders. My workshops focus on skills, strengths and behaviours, all of them aimed at raising self-awareness, exploration and generation of new thinking
An example of a recent workshop was with a global leadership group within Tech. The purpose was to provide a self-assessment framework for the nine group members to identify the skills, attributes, and attitudes they find important for effective leadership.
This was followed by a facilitated discussion on their perception of good leadership to create what they believe are the eight most important leadership aspects for their organisational success.
This workshop also provided them with the opportunity to assess their development and initiate individual and group goals.
